Hello all, we’re goats from the farm just down the road
Been a while since you were in 4H.
Things have been okay for us except that we’re so hungry now.
And now we’re staring at your patch.
I think I speak for all of us when I say we understand
Why you folks might hesitate to submit to our demand
But European lawns only make us yawn, really!
All we want to do is eat your grass
We’re not unreasonable; I mean, no one’s gonna eat your flowers
All we want to do is eat your grass
We’re at an impasse here ― just take this advice of ours
If you open up your gate
We’ll let you glower while we go eat your grass!
I don’t like this astroturf, and is this really your plan?
To import grasses, not use native plants?
Maybe that’s okay for now but someday you’ll be out of food and cloth
And then you can’t make any pants.
I’m not surprised to see you haven’t thought it through enough
But grasses out of Europe cannot deal with climate stuff.
But we will fertilize, and we won’t eat your eyes slowly!
