So this happened in a Zoom filk circle, just now. Typoed off of "rumblings".
The Hobbits all were drinking on a dark and stormy night
But none were quite prepared for the morning ever bright
And so said one dear Hobbit to another of his kind:
"Oh my good friend, I swear to you, I think I've gone Rumblind!
He only saw some fuzzy shapes and those were quite a blur --
And if he moved, or danced, or grooved, his head went all a-stir.
The wizard swore to him that day, "It's only in your mind;
For that's the truth of higher proof: you can go quite Rumblind!
The wizard gave him options as to his recovery:
He could just wait a day or two, or maybe fifty-three;
Else if, perchance, his balance would let him leave friends behind,
The Hobbit could go on a quest to heal being Rumblind!
The Hobbit chose the latter, though his friends all snuck along.
The wizard laughed, and soon enough, he found that he was wrong.
The Hobbit's friends had saved him from a trap laid by his mind:
"The riders are just men," said they; "you are just quite Rumblind!"
And so their trip continued until the next obstacle,
For although dwarves were friendly, oh, their wine, well, it was mulled --
So as the Hobbit overcame his blindness of the mind,
His friends thought him invisible, for they were all Rumblind!"
