boredom in an easy math course

For ev’ry day I watch and learn and grow,

Discover once more all the world around,

I see more strife, and all too well I know

That our society’s running to the ground.

Each time I wake, I wonder what is new,

What happened overnight, what else can change,

Before I look outside for morning dew

Or else scramble two eggs upon the range.

Yet nothing bad can happen just from care,

From wanting to help however I can.

With Dreamers, refugees with whom we share

All we afford, we fight against the ban.

For all that we can do is advocate,

Vote against fascists, bigotry, and hate.
